Priorities change according to need. Dire circumstances dictate change. I wonder how many of us would be willing to give up the things that pamper our bodies & minds to help those in need in our communities. When will we ask more of ourselves, entertainers, actors that care about our issues? Yes, there are many who have contributed finanacially and with face time, but what about a sustained effort from the front porch to the Mayor's office to the Govenor's mansion to the White House? Who will be my Sister's or Brother's keeper? Most certainly not those who have no benefit in doing so. I have always felt that the good of the many begins with the uplifting of just One of us who will pay it forward. Complaints and finger pointing are good fodder for comics and naysayers, but at age 48, I am truly tired of the complaints. As Ghandi said " Be the Change you want to See in the World ". We can't create a Nirvana, but we can create a space that we've affected a positive change.
