Hi! I just want to say that i browsed through your website and read your posts and i really like what you have to say about alot of things especially about women being objectified. It's nice to read the thoughts of someone with a strong and stable opinion who actually knows what they are talking about. So many people run their mouths without taking time to really think.
Consider me a new Jasmyn fan!

ugh.. Sometimes I think that ignorant Black men will blame ANYONE for their misfortune. What was that sign suppose to accomplish? And it looks like the "stud" was an after thought.. Like they really mean all women but they wanted it to sound a little bit better.

Wow, homophobia in the Black community- what a new phenomenon.

As we worry as whether studs are taking the position of black men, we have black men in prison, black men not being properly trained in the educational system, and other problems.

But I guess these thoughts are too much to put on a sign.

Hah!! Black studs took the place of Black men in my life years ago! Sorry....situation just wasn't that deep for me.

Sorry, I pushed the wrong bottom above.

"My hope is that this is not a sign that the Black lesbian butch is about to take the place of the downlow brother in our community as the source of all that ails the Black community. Because as it was not true when it started with the so-called downlow phenomenon, it’s not true with Black lesbian butch women".

I was just going to suggest what you just said above. I notice "butch" lesbians from time to time even in my own "conservative" midwestern town. So I would imagine that butch lesbians are that much more prevalent and in your face out there in gay friendly LA. I would change your "take the place of", however, to "join" down low brothers (the demonization of down low men is not going anywhere anytime soon) as the source of all that ails the black community: the other side of the same coin, so to speak. The superficial acceptance (tolerance?) of black lesbians over black gay men by straight black men (and women) by the black community may be about to end because y'all are taking their women! Are so they think.
