The Pied Piper of Pedophilia and Further Proof of Our Denial

Continuing in our coverage of accused pedophile R. "I'm A Flirt" Kelly and his planned Friday concert here in L.A...

Every once in a while I get an email or a comment on my blog that I feel compelled to address.  Yesterday, I received an enormous amount of emails and comments regarding R. Kelly, most in defense of him.  Why am I not surprised?  The comments ranged from the girl was a slut and asked for it to R. Kelly’s innocent.

I’ve decided to pick one comment in particular that was posted in response to my piece entitled, “Just So That We’re Clear.”

This comment comes from Chris, and I quote:

Okay Chris, with all love and respect due…

It's not fair to bring up old issues and make them present with a current situation.

Why not?  We do it all of the time. 

For example, the use of nooses for example as a form of intimidation is an old issue that’s not now a current situation.  And let’s not get into all of the old issues being brought up daily in the race to be the next President of the United States of America.

The bottom line is that this may be an old issue only because it’s been nearly six years and R. Kelly has yet to see his day in court.

Meanwhile, while he’s supposed to be planning his defense, he was planning his fall tour as Keyshia “Let It Go” Cole told the world when she slipped up on MTV last fall and announced it.  This of course was quickly denied by Kelly’s reps, but in case you didn’t notice, he is on tour.

He is innocent until proven guilty and your actions to all of this is no different then the WHITE GAY COMMUNITY and how they went after Isaiah Washington we did not like it.

Apples and oranges Chris.  I’m not calling for R. Kelly to lose his job, so to speak.  I’m asking that Black people stop “steppin” long enough to acknowledge the fact that he’s got 14 counts of child pornography pending against him.  Something that we’ve for most part failed to do.  How do I know?  He continues to sell out concerts from coast to coast, and we all know who makes up the majority of his audiences.  His singles and albums continue to soar up the charts, and we all know what radio stations are playing him and who is listening to those stations.  It’s almost as if the 14 counts are a badge of honor for R. Kelly.

First of all, I don’t own his sex video, if I did I’d be guilty of owning child pornography and I doubt I’d have the luxury of having my case postponed for almost six years.

But I will offer to you again Chris, proof of R. Kelly’s penchant for underage women.  I know,I know, it's a hard pill to swallow but the truth ain't always pretty.

Chris darling, that’s the problem, the system is not working.  It’s going on six years and the Man has yet to stand trial.  However, Michael Vick is serving 23 months on dog fighting charges that were brought against him in April of this year.  And by the way, dogs aren’t human, but 15 year-old girls are.

 
However, I am less interested in the system working and more interest in Black people thinking.  The Pied Piper of Pedophilia’s ghetto pass should have been revoked in 2002.  How come we can see through all of the other bullshit that gets thrown our way and have no problem calling it out, but when it comes to R. Kelly, mums the word?

There’s no song worth my silence when it comes to grown ass men taking advantage of underage Black girls, whether they believed they wanted it or not.  If Black women are the queens that you brothas are always hollering we are, then what about the princesses?  R. Kelly isn’t the first or the last man to take advantage of an under age girl.  And our silence as a community sends a loud message that a song is more important than the life of a young Black girl, or in his case girls plural.

Am I the only one that finds it strange that R. “Age Ain’t Nothin’ But A Number” Kelly  married a 15 year-old girl?

You know what's sad.  Yesterday, I was listening to the Michael Baisend Show and they were discussing domestic violence.  All of these brothas were calling in and talking about they had to whoop on someone's ass for beating on their momma or sista.  And I'm in my car like, so you'll beat a man's ass for beating your mom or sister, but it's okay for a grown as man to sleep with, urinate on, and marry an underage girl?  Why doesn't that warrant the same reaction from these brothas?  Tell me that.

And while I'm at it, I really want to know is where the victims of child molestation are?  Where are the parents of daughters? 

Better yet, why is it that a high school coach can be arrested for allegedly handcuffing and tying up teen girls at his home and on campus and immediately be banned from the school and placed on leave, but a man that is videotaped urinating on an underage girl and who receives 14 counts of child pornography is welcomed with open arms in the community? 

Oh wait, the girls coach was accused of handcuffing and tying up were white I believe, and R. Kelly, well he just relieved himself on a Black girl.  Silly me, what the hell was I thinking?

OK Sista, You put me on BLAST...LOL It's all good. Thanks for explaining your points. They make sense. However, I still say let his day in court arrive. That is only fair. Protest all you want that is your right. I don't have a problem with that. I don't disagree on eveything you said, I agree with most of it. But you brought me very good conversing on the issue and it's much appreciated.

I've been MORE offended with people who continued to work with R Kelly throughout the heat of the horrendous allegations against him...I can't think of names now, but there were too many seeking collabs, songs and production from him in the 2000's. That astounded me, cause you would not see that many artists collaborate or be seen with out gay artists..when being gay is legal.

Jazzy baby I'm with you all the way. and that vick analogy is on que. Kelly "ass" should be under the jail. There are too many woman in Hollywood and the rest of America too willing to give a man of kellys' stature exactly what he wants and then some, no pon intended. I recently read that you intended to protest the R. Kelly Double-up concert to be held at an upcoming Forum event. It appears you are protesting not for the language or overtly sexual content, but for allegations that have not been proven, nor evidence that has been accepted as fact. Therefore the allegations remain "hearsay" and perhaps the reason the trial has been delayed for over 5 years.

There is reasonable doubt that Mr. Kelly was not the person on the video. If it were clear, he would have been arrested and remained in jail to this day. The circumstances surrounding the tape surfacing is an even greater mystery.

I am sure you are aware of the legal system. Having said that you'd also know that the person who anonymously mailed the video tape to the Chicago Sun Times several years after it allegedly occurred, remains anonymous because that individual(s) would have to testify in a court of law as to how they obtained this tape. Perhaps this would then lead to the origin of the tape as well. Don't you find it equally curious that the "do gooder" who mailed the tape to the newspaper won't help the authorities to prosecute the alleged pedophile? Perhaps it is the same reason the case remains open.

Now, through a different set of lens, one wonders why it has become so important to prosecute R. Kelly that the State is considering "veins" as the evidence since no other concrete evidence has been upheld.

Don't you think it may be more than mere coincidence that the mystery tape appeared only after Mr. Kelly fired a singer he was producing by the name of Sparkle (Aunt of the supposed victim) along with the person who was managing him at that time? Another coincidence is that the tape is said to supposedly have been made in 1998, but not given to the Chicago Sun Times until 2002, shortly after the terminations of the two individuals named above. Or, how about the logic of the anonymous “do gooder” who gave the tape to the newspaper instead of the police. Or after the tapes made the press, copies of these same tapes were being distributed and sold to street vendors and the net for profit. Where did these people get their copies from? Was this all a set up to extort money, or revenge, or just someone trying to embarrass the well known playboy whose weakness has always been women. Hmmm. I don’t know about you, but I am still doing my research into the matter.

Perhaps you can share with your followers what concrete facts and evidence you are going by to incite their anger and hostility. I also hope you are prepared to stand by any aftermath that can possibly get out of control with some crazed fanatic who might decide to take the spurious allegations as fact simply because you have told them so, and then decides to do physical harm to Mr. Kelly and or members of his tour.

Of course Mr. Kelly’s antics don’t help his current charges, but are we convicting Mr. Kelly on his being an obscene showman and lyricist, or the crime he supposedly committed? Does his bad boy reputation override reasonable doubt?

Don’t you find it odd that no White Evangelical protesters have ever assembled to try and destroy R. Kelly's performances? Perhaps, like me, and many other intelligent sideline watchers, we are are separating spins and accusations that have taken hold in the court of public opinion and waiting for facts to emerge through a court of law. Many of us understand the charges are still allegations and have not yet been proven.

But I am sure the White man loves this, because we, as Black folks, continue to destroy one another by the new form of a death sentence, character assassination. All you need is access to a keyboard and the Internet.

If you truly are an equal opportunity defender of human justice, you may want to assemble your crew and protest for the group that follows Mr. Kelly's tour at the Forum, "Iron Maiden". Now that's a group who openly appears to be part of Satan's Circle.

The MAIN reason this SICK-azz sh*t has been IGNORED and allowed to continue throughout Black America is because:

1.) MOST BLACK Pedophiles are "BROTHAS"!!

2.) MOST of the child "VICTIMS" of Black pedophiles are VERY young_and adolescent Black GIRLS!!!
