On April 26, 2007, the National Black Justice Coalition will launch of The Power of Us, NBJC’s new national campaign designed to display positive and uplifting messages and images that embrace, celebrate, and promote the talent, brilliance, and contributions, that Black SGL/LGBT people are making in America.
Similar launch parties are being planned in Los Angeles, Atlanta, and New York.
To attend the D.C. event, please call (202) 349-3755 or visit www.nbjc.org.
The National Black Justice Coalition is a civil rights organization dedicated to empowering Black same-gender-loving, lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered people. The Coalition works with our communities and our allies for social justice, equality, and an end to racism and homophobia.

Keep up the good work. I love to work that NBJC is doing and plans on doing in the future. Your work is awesome and I am a loyal reader of your blog. I was born and raised in Chicago, which leads me to ask the question below.
Why not a launch party in Chicago? I feel like we get left out in the midwest...is there a reason why.
