What bothers me about Tyler Perry is that he makes it a point of flaunting his heterosexuality, making sure that black folks know he is straight. Tyler's not a matinee idol, he doesn't have to worry about his sexual appeal to young black women. I've seen many black males (white ones too) portray women. THose who are very very good at it, who go beyond flamboyant charicature, those who have a respect for femininity as well as admiration, are usually gay, I think. Sorry, Tyler

first off, robertskelton-ga DEFINITELY earned his $25 :-) that was a
far more thorough answer than I would have given :) And definitely
worth following up on the links for.

Secondly, I offer only one suggestion in your quest to understand the
secret of women. Being one, I find that the great Harry Belafonte
summed it up quite nicely.

Hello,
i have come across this website and i have been quite educated on one hand. but confused on the other. and i would like to say that alot of homosexuals would like to be excepted as a person and an individual not just by a gender and this website is just deflecting that. because with things like this website you are making it in to colte. and making it seem to people that are trying to except homosexuality by understand how people to want to be treated and seen as if they are almost a different species, and thats what the homosexual community are doing alot of the time and really it gets confusing to people are just not interested in the facts but just want to know people for who they are. and labeling (oh, this celeb is gay, this person is gay. etc) its as if you are trying say a person is better for being that way , when being you as an individual should determin you. and as for tyler perry i am a great fan an his plays encourage love, life , exceptance, and forgivness. and as a black man he is encouraging these things instead of hoes, drugs, and violence., and i think you should be encouraging that you sholud embrassing that and also his sexuality is not up for question non of his plays or movies so why are you asking the question because it aint your business, and you are underminding the progression of homosexuals before you that have tried to pave the way so gay people can go where they want and be who they want to be. by dysecting his actions and cuming to your own conclusions and judging him, the same way you wouldnt want gay people to be judged (and thats the same for OPRAH). thats why god is a good view for most people and anybody should take certain things from his gospel. because he said '' he without sin cast the first stone'' so i cant judge nobody if i aint doing right myself. and you are doing the same when you are ashuming peoples sexuality. because its the plain old if they want to tell you they will.

thank you for your time,

I am tired of people saying Tyler Perry's gay!!! If you watch his videos on commentary he hates dressing like her. The only reason he does it is because people like the madea character it brings in a big audience. If people didn't like her he would stop doing the madea character. He also can't be gay because he plays more than one male character. A man dresses like a woman he's automatically gay. If that's the case what about Jamie Foxx,Martin Laurence,Duston Huffman and other men that do it!!!

I love Tyler Perry. He brings joy at a time when it's needed. Even though Tylers' character of Madea can be a little rough around the edges sometimes, Tyler is only reflecting a real to life situation thats alway giving a positive twist of encouragement and a laugh. Madea is a caring family person that's not willing to take mess from anybody and speaks her mind.

I would not mind being creatively involved with working side by side with a person like Tyler Perry with my songs and play writing ablities. I admire who he is. Infact, I wish I could have had the vision of Tyler Perry with Madea because he's making people laugh, making plenty of money and most of ministering the Word of God. And--- I can't forget this--- Tyler Perry is not a selfish person when it comes to giving money. Tyler Perry has visited my church on many occassions when in town. He comes in very humble and he's NOT dressed as a woman. To me, he reflects a positive image to the world. He comes to church to sincerely praise the Lord and to get a Word through our Pastor. Our church was in a financial bind from giving our supports to the Karina surviors that put our church behind in our bills and Tyler Perry stepped in and caught us up with the amount of $150,000. He is known for giving even more to other churches. He does not mind investing back into the lives of people, especially those who have supported him. He gladly gives because he knows where his blessings come from.

How many people do you know who have not forgot where they came from? Thumbs up to Tyler Perry.
